Purpose of the platform
Simunara is an interactive clinical simulation tool for health students, professors and practising professionals. The platform lets you play fictitious clinical scenarios, make diagnostic and therapeutic decisions in a risk-free environment, and receive a structured debrief.
Educational disclaimer
Simunara is a training tool, never a care tool. The scenarios, patients, test results and recommendations shown are fictitious and simplified for learning purposes.
Nothing on the platform is medical advice, a binding care protocol or a recommendation applicable to a real patient. Never base a real clinical decision on content from Simunara. Refer to the official guidelines in force and to your hospital or university supervisors.
The scores, levels and statistics produced by the platform are personal progress benchmarks. They are not a certification, a qualification or an official assessment, unless your institution decides otherwise, in which case it alone is responsible for their use.
Artificial intelligence
The simulated patient, its voice, the transcript of your exchanges, the coach, the debriefs, part of the marking and the case images rely on artificial intelligence systems. During a simulation, you are talking to an artificial intelligence, never to a real person.
Generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies. It replaces neither your professors’ advice nor official guidelines, and the educational disclaimer above applies to it in full. Report any error to your professor or to contact@simunara.com. What the providers of these systems receive is described in our privacy policy.
Access conditions
Access to Simunara is by request. Open sign-up is closed: you send a request through the contact form, then, once it is approved, you receive a personal invitation link to create your account. If your institution is a Simunara customer, it can also invite you directly: its invitation counts as an approved request.
- The invitation link is personal, single-use and valid for a limited time.
- You must be at least 16 years old and be a student, professor or professional in the health field.
- The information given in the request must be accurate. An inaccurate statement of role or institution may lead to the account being closed.
- The publisher may refuse an access request without having to give reasons.
Your account
- Your account is strictly personal. Sharing credentials between several people is forbidden.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity carried out from your account.
- If you sign in with Google, the security of your Simunara account also depends on that of your Google account.
- Report any unauthorised use of your account to contact@simunara.com without delay.
- You can ask for your account to be deleted at any time, at the same address.
Acceptable use
By using Simunara, you agree not to:
- Enter real patient data, identifying or not, in a scenario, a simulation answer or a message.
- Extract, bulk-copy, resell or redistribute the platform’s learning content.
- Take screenshots of, photograph, film, print or save the platform’s screens, or inspect its pages to extract their content. Attempts detected on a signed-in account are recorded.
- Automate access to the service (bots, scraping scripts, mass API calls) without written permission.
- Attempt to bypass access controls, access other users’ data or disrupt the service.
- Publish unlawful, defamatory or discriminatory content, or content that infringes the rights of others.
- Use the platform for any purpose other than training, in particular to guide the care of a real patient.
Content published by professors
A professor who creates a scenario remains responsible for its content: medical accuracy, educational relevance, respect for the rights of others and the absence of any real patient data. They guarantee that they hold the necessary rights to what they include, images in particular.
Professors keep ownership of the scenarios they write. They grant the publisher a non-exclusive, free licence to host, display and distribute these scenarios to authorised users, solely to operate the platform and for as long as they are published.
The publisher may unpublish without notice any scenario that is clearly wrong, unlawful or contrary to these terms.
Intellectual property
The platform, its code, interface, visual identity, brand and original content are protected. No reproduction, adaptation or reuse, in whole or in part, is allowed without prior written consent, apart from the personal training use these terms permit.
Personal data
The processing of your personal data is described in our privacy policy, which forms an integral part of these terms.
Service availability
Simunara is provided as is, with no guarantee of continuous availability. Interruptions may occur for maintenance, updates or technical incidents. The publisher strives to keep them short and, where possible, to give notice of planned work.
Features may change, be added or be removed, especially during trial phases with partner institutions.
Liability
- The publisher cannot be held liable for any clinical decision based on platform content, which is intended for education only.
- The publisher is not responsible for content written by professors or for the use an institution makes of progress statistics.
- The publisher is not liable for indirect damage, including loss of data, loss of opportunity or academic harm.
- Users remain responsible for the equipment, connection and environment from which they access the service.
Suspension and termination
The publisher may suspend or close an account, without notice in the event of a serious breach, in particular credential sharing, content extraction, security violations or entry of real patient data. For your part, you can stop using the platform and ask for your account to be deleted at any time.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be changed to keep pace with the platform or the legal framework. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page. Any substantial change will be notified to you by email or in the application. Continuing to use the platform after this notice counts as acceptance.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law applicable where the publisher is established. In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to seek an amicable solution before any legal action, by writing to contact@simunara.com. Failing agreement, the dispute is brought before the competent court.
